Get ready to loosen up your belt because the best time of the year for foodies has returned to Banderas Bay with the 17th edition of the Restaurant Week food festival. An annual tradition since 2005, Restaurant “Week” actually spans three full weeks, from May 15th to June 10th, to allow patrons to taste fantastic culinary offerings from dozens of the best restaurants in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit.
The Puerto Vallarta Restaurant Week concept is based around participating restaurants offering specifically created three-course menus which offer three choices of appetizer, three choices of main course, and three options of dessert from which to select, at a fixed price of 299, 399, or 499 pesos, depending on the establishment. These special menus reflect approximately a 50% savings from regular prices and include taxes (although not gratuities or beverages).
For those of us that own a home in Puerto Vallarta, Restaurant Week is the ideal opportunity to break out of our usual choices and explore more of the incredible culinary scene that our city and region has to offer. And for those on vacation in Puerto Vallarta, fixed priced menus make holiday budgeting easy, and allow visitors to explore all types of restaurants in PV, from cafes to fine dining and wine bars to beach clubs.
